Sophisticated Dining in New Haven
HEIRLOOM RESTAURANT AND LOUNGE
Located on the ground floor of The Study at Yale hotel on Chapel Street at the heart of the Yale University campus in New Haven, CT. Heirloom’s menu draws its inspiration from the New England Pantry with only the freshest ingredients sourced from the heritage growers and neighboring artisan purveyors of Connecticut and New England for Executive Chef Carey Savona's Farm Coastal cooking. Savor Chef Savona ingredient-driven, innovative cuisine showcasing the best of his seasonal finds, has redefined the New Haven dining experience.
Heirlooms’ wine collection includes wines from Italy, Spain, France, Australia, Germany, South Africa and the United States. Our wine choices are eclectic, yet distinctive, with a focus on value and boutique labels as well as sustainable, organic and biodynamic selections. Signature cocktails feature house elixirs and infusions influenced by the New England seasons. Our beer selection is diverse and worldly with a special emphasis on the neighboring suppliers and distillers of New England and the Northeast.
The stylish Heirloom Lounge provides a perfect backdrop for socializing or just relaxing. You can settle in with your special beverage and choose from a selection of enticing light fare or order from the restaurant menu.
Experience Heirloom’s popular weekend brunch served in its airy and spacious dining room with floor-to-ceiling glass looking out on Chapel Street with a menu featuring traditional breakfast and lunch dishes with an inventive twist.
Our customized private event menus will surprise and delight you with their inspired dishes, wine pairings, and more. With seating for up to 24, guests may dine exclusively in our Heirloom Private Dining Room on an exquisite meal prepared by Executive Chef Carey Savona and his talented culinary team. The interior is dominated at one end by a red bicycle image by Patrick Joseph Acheson evoking the vibe of Heirloom and flanked on another by the floor-to-ceiling refrigerated glass wall of exceptional cellared wines. An open wall permits a connection to the main dining room and the floor-to-ceiling view of the Yale Art campus on Chapel Street. For the perfect grace note to your meal, our sommelier can assist you in choosing an exquisite wine from our collection. Your special occasion will not be soon forgotten.
Our 24-hour Lobby Café serving Illy coffee drinks and a variety of teas, juices and bottled beverages, is stocked with pastries and a healthy assortment of other delights made daily in-house and available for your enjoyment while relaxing in the Living Room, in the privacy of your room, or takeout for the guest on the go.
Indulge in a private dining experience in the comfort of your guestroom or suite. Our “Food for Thought” in-room dining menu is available throughout the day and evening, from 6am to midnight. You may select breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts, beverages or snacks from a menu of seasonally-inspired selections featuring the same sustainable ingredients of our Heirloom restaurant. Our culinary team will be happy to address any special dietary needs, so please advise us of any special requests.
